Not my first Android phone, but the first that I began tinkering with this heavily. 4.4.4 KitKat - AOKP/SlimRoms/etc on my HTC Droid DNA. I still hold the opinion that KitKat was peak Android and the DNA, despite being 16GB and no microSD, is still my favorite phone I've owned.
