That does not mean that the XC70 is perfect though as it suffers from issues associated with driver’s airbag, engine cooling, safety belt issues, drivetrain failures, and transmission issues. Even though the lack of issues the XC70 experiences is good, the severity of some of these is also substantial. All in all, the XC70 is a reliable car.

We’re torquing limited amounts of roll and plow, very good composure and a workable amount of grip. The all-wheel-drive system lacks enthusiast-friendly tricks, but helps balance the chassis. And the extra power provided by the turbo reduces perceived bulk on the road (the base XC70 can feel ungainly). I like the retro feel of a wagon, my favourite look so far is the Volvo XC70. I don't like paying the markup for a new car so I'm thinking to buy a 2-3 year old car. I've also considered the VW Superwagen. I'd like to be able to turn the car on remotely for winter use, which is an option for the Volvo but not the VW Superwagen as far as I know.
